1. Ownership of Intellectual Property

1.1 All content, resources, and materials provided by Urban Global University (UGU), whether via website, mobile applications, LMS platform, or printed/digital format, are the exclusive intellectual property of UGU.

1.2 This includes, but is not limited to:

Course materials, e-books, AI-generated and faculty-created content.
Recorded/live lectures, doubt-solving sessions, and workshops.
University branding: logos, seals, trade names, slogans (“Knowledge Beyond Borders”), and trademarks.
Website design, mobile application design, UI/UX elements.
Software, APIs, and LMS features developed or licensed by UGU.
Student Usage Rights

2.1 Enrolled students are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use UGU content solely for personal educational purposes.

2.2 Students are strictly prohibited from:

Copying, reproducing, or distributing UGU content.
Selling, leasing, or sublicensing UGU content to others.
Using UGU’s name, seal, or branding without written authorization.
Uploading UGU content to public forums, websites, or file-sharing platforms.
Faculty & Contributor Content

3.1 Content developed by professors, guest speakers, or collaborators for UGU remains protected by copyright.

3.2 Unless otherwise agreed in writing, UGU retains perpetual rights to use, distribute, and modify such content for academic purposes.

Third-Party Intellectual Property

4.1 UGU respects the intellectual property rights of others.

4.2 Course materials may contain:

Referenced case studies (e.g., Coca-Cola, Infosys, Google).
Integrated third-party APIs (e.g., Jooble for the job portal).
Licensed software, videos, or e-books.

4.3 Such materials are used under fair use, academic licensing, or partnership agreements.

4.4 Students are prohibited from misusing third-party IP accessed via UGU.

Trademarks & Branding

5.1 The following are trademarks and protected marks of UGU:

Urban Global University (UGU)
Knowledge Beyond Borders (tagline)
The UGU Seal & Logo

5.2 Unauthorized use, imitation, or modification of these marks is prohibited.

Reporting Copyright Infringement

6.1 UGU complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and international copyright laws.

6.2 If you believe your work has been copied or misused on any UGU platform, please report it to:

Include:

Your full contact details.
Identification of the copyrighted work.
Location/URL of the infringing material.
A statement that the information is accurate and you are the rightful owner.

UGU will investigate and, if valid, remove the infringing material promptly.

Enforcement

7.1 Violations of this policy may result in:

Suspension or expulsion from UGU.
Termination of LMS or app access.
Legal action for damages and injunctive relief.
Updates

8.1 UGU may update this Copyright & IP Policy periodically.

8.2 Continued use of UGU platforms constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of Delaware, USA, with disputes subject to international arbitration and final jurisdiction in Delaware courts.
